Yes, always. Your recordings are stored as plain M4A, JSON, and text files on your computer. They are your files — Myna never deletes them, and you can open them with any standard application, whether Myna is installed or not.
Not for recording, transcription, or AI summaries — all of that runs locally on your device. You need internet only for initial licence activation (one-time), calendar sync (if enabled), and optional auto-updates. Myna works fully offline after setup.
Mac support is coming. The macOS version will use ScreenCaptureKit (macOS 13 Ventura and later) for audio capture. Sign up for updates or follow us to be notified when the Mac version is available.
Ollama is a free, open-source tool that runs AI models locally on your computer. Myna uses it for meeting summaries and action items. You only need Ollama if you want AI features — recording and transcription work without it. Myna will guide you through setup if needed.
